Calgary Citizen promotional handbag design

The Calgary Citizen approached me about creating a digital illustration for a promotional handbag that would be used as marketing material at trade fairs and markets. They wanted the work to capture the essence of Calgary in my own style. Using some of my own photographic reference, I created an illustration in Adobe Illustrator (sketched in Procreate) that captured certain themes that were deemed of value to the client such as Chinooks, the Rocky Mountains, the city skyline, leisure activities of Calgarians, etc.
